Comparative analysis on the disaster risk management training courses and measures

The importance of disaster risk management and training on the international and regional levels as well as the national and local levels has been recognized in the past few years in a number of key multilateral frameworks and declarations – International Strategy for Disaster Reduction: Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters, European Commission Acts such as the Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction and the National Strategies for Disaster Risk Reduction. In that context, the Output aims to provide the respective authorities in the three countries with scientific data and comparative analysis of the best practices in disaster risk management in the EU.

Disaster Risk Reduction Awareness and Education

This survey is conducted within the project „Disaster Risk Reduction: Innovative Sustainable Solutions through Interactive Education“ under the Erasmus + program, developed by the University of National and World Economy, Bulgaria, the University of Peloponnese, Greece, and Research and Analyzes Ltd, the UK. The aim of the survey is to provide information about the level of public awareness about disaster risk reduction and the response measures, as well as general information about the characteristics of education in this area in the participating countries. It also has to reveal the respondents’ attitude to the improvement of the existing practice through the implementation of new measures. The results will support the development of an online system with open access for awareness and an interactive educational platform for disaster risk reduction.
